Film production taking its toll on G.V. Prakash Kumar?

G.V. Prakash Kumar recently forayed into a new territory as a film producer. The 25-year old GVP, who has already scored music to more than 25 films, is said to be in some sort of a distress during the past fortnight as the film producing assignment has turned out to be tougher than what he had anticipated earlier.
One of the successful contemporary music directors, GVP’s personal and professional lives have been going rather strong indeed. The baby-faced music director is all set to tie the nuptial knot later this year with his girlfriend of many years and playback singer Saindhavi. Professionally too, GVP’s career graph has been moving rather steadily in the upward direction.
Of late, especially after the super-success of Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki which had an elephant in a lead role, many Tamil films are produced with the name of the elephant in their titles (eg. Pattathu Yaanai, Ettu Thikkum Madha Yanai, Madha Yaanai Koottametc.). However, ever since Madha Yaanai Koottam went to the floors, the music director is said to be rather tense.
Vikram Sugumaran, the director is said to be making all sorts of demands to GVP, the producer, which hasn’t gone down well with the latter. GVP, who is simultaneously scoring music for many films he had committed earlier, is said to be hitting some wrong notes due to the tense situation created by his director. We only hope that the young music director soon finds a way out!

Amala breaches the Re.1 crore barrier?

Amala Paul is said to have breached the Re.1 crore barrier. After debuting in Veerasekaran and starring in the hugely controversial Sindhu Samaveli, Amala’s career took a ‘U’ turn when Prabhu Solomon signed her up to play the lead role opposite newcomer Vidharth in Mynaa.
The rest, as they say, is history. Mynaa went on to become a super-duper hit venture and Amala started bagging offers opposite leading heroes such as Aarya and Vikram and is now playing Vijay’s heroine in his upcoming film Thalaivaa. In between, Amala also managed to make her entry in Tollywood films and reportedly has a few Telugu projects which are underway.
Hit films such as Kaadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi made her one of the leading heroines in Kollywood and she has reportedly been paid Re.1 crore to pair up opposite Vijay in Thalaivaa. She has also been paid something in excess of the coveted 1C mark in her upcoming Telugu films opposite the likes of Ram Charan Teja and Allu Arjun.
When it rains, it pours in torrents?
