Sources close to the crew of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film kochadaiyaan have hinted at the possibility of the ‘first look’ of the film getting revealed as early as on this Sunday (14th April) on the eve of the commencement of the Tamil New Year.
Millions of fans of Rajini have displayed monumental patience in waiting for the release of their Thalaivar’s kochadaiyaan whose post-production work seems to be taking ages to complete. Except for a few still photographs, nothing about kochadaiyaan has so far been released to the media. The film was to release during last Deepavali but was postponed at least thrice and is now scheduled to hit the screens in July.
Starring Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana and Rukmani Vijayakumar in lead roles, kochadaiyaan is to be released all over the world in as many as 7 languages including English and Japanese. Soundarya Ashwin, Rajini’s younger daughter, makes her directorial debut with her father’s kochadaiyaan, which is also the country’s first-ever animation film to be shot entirely in 3-D mode.
A few days back, it was reported that a song from kochadaiyaan would be premiered at the prestigious annual film festival at Cannes in May and that Rajini himself would be there at the venue to supervise arrangements. However, it is now expected that the teaser of the film including posters and few more stills, might be out by this Sunday. The Cannes premiere is on and might include a trailer, it is further reported.
A.R. Rahman has scored the music of the film which has K.S. Ravikumar penning the story, screenplay and dialogues besides supervising Soundarya’s direction.
