The hype about superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming 3-D animation film Kochadaiyaan is being raised with nothing being released to the public view. Soundarya Ashwin, who is debuting as director with the film, is of the opinion that Kochadaiyaan might turn out to be Rajini’s best-ever in terms of performance.
Excitement, expectations and hype surrounding a Rajini film release are legendary. Even the posters of Rajini’s new film manage to arouse great amount of enthusiasm among his fans and movie-goers. Whatever suspense the script-writer might keep about the script, the press invariably gets a ‘sneak peak’ into the film’s story and manages to reveal as to what can be expected from the film.
Kochadaiyaan is expected for a variety of reasons and two of them can be cited as premier ones: for the first time in his career, Rajini has been directed by his daughter; secondly; this is Rajini’s first on-screen appearance in a full film after his life-threatening illness and subsequent recovery in 2011. Rajini reportedly plays dual roles in the film of a father (Kochadaiyan) and his son (Rana).
As Kochadaiyan happens to be a bharatanatyam dancer, Shobana has been paired up opposite the older Rajini. Rajini has also sung a song in the film which was recorded a few months back. “Rajini’s twin roles in the film have come out very well…Kochadaiyan would be remembered for a long time for many reasons and one of them, I feel, would be that it might well turn out to be Rajini’s best performance as on date!” says Soundarya.
It is said that in the climax, Rajini would reel off his trade-mark ‘punch’ dialogues and would then follow it up with a very stylish walk. This was well appreciated by members of the crew who clapped their hands for several seconds, it is reported.
Now it is high time the film gets released rather than crew speaking on the Air.
