Vijay denies acting in the remake of Baadshah

Yesterday there was a rumour suggesting that Vijay would be playing the lead role of the Tamil remake of Telugu super hit movie Baadshah, which had Jr. NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead.
Kajal, who is already pairing up with Vijay for the second time in the upcoming Jilla, was said to be in for a hat-trick of films with Vijay as she was tipped to pair up opposite him for the third time in the remake.
Vijay vies with Jayam Ravi in starring in the most number of remake films, most of which are remakes of successful Telugu films. Remaking rights of Baadshah in Tamil have been acquired by PVP Cinema’s Prasad Potluri, it is reported. Vijay, who is presently starring in A.L. Vijay’s Thalaivaa, will star in Jilla afterwards. It was said that he might commit to star in the remake of Baadshah later this year.

Srinu Vaitla, director of Baadshah, made the film at Rs.55 crores and is now laughing his way to the bank as the film collected a whopping Rs.13.5 crores on its very first day and has been doing very well all over Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere.
However, Vijay has categorically denied the news and put a full stop to all the speculations.
