Siddharth, the heartthrob of many young girls says that he doesn’t like the image of chocolate boy. Speaking in the press conference of his forthcoming Tamil movie Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru, directed by Sunder C, the handsome actor said, “I hate the ‘chocolate boy’ term of late.” He said this in response to the comments by UTV’s Dhananjayan, the producer, who mentioned Siddharth as ‘chocolate boy’.
Siddharth, not intending to offend the producer had humbly made his opinion clear. He said that he wasn’t amused by the comparison as he had been making all-out efforts for the past few years to come of the ‘chocolate boy’ image as far as his films are concerned.
Siddharth, who has had decent run in Tamil after have entered the field through Shankar’s Boys, explained as to how he got to act in TVSK. “I followed my friends’ advice in approaching leading directors and seeking film offers as big heroes do…I met Sundar at an event a few months back and expressed my willingness to star in his film. Soon after, the offer to star in this film followed,” said Siddharth.
The meet-the-press event in connection with the upcoming release of Sundar C’s laugh riot Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru was as enterprising as a Sundar film. First the director thanked friend and actor Nithin Sathya for helping him zero in on the title of Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru and added that a title as good as this one guarantees the film’s success in clear terms.
Heroine Hansika surprised the scribes by speaking in Tamil which wasn’t so fluent but the effort drew appreciation from one and all.
Lyricist Paa Vijay said he’d never seen a girl more beautiful than Hansika. Sathya of Engeyum Eppodhum fame has composed the music of Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru. Known for his appetite for melodious songs, Sathya has also composed a typical kuthu song at Sundar’s behest.
