Would love to pair up opposite Ajith, says Sridevi

The ‘Queen Bee’ is at it again. Sridevi, who mesmerized Tamil and Telugu audiences in the late seventies till early eighties and then moved to Mumbai to keep the North Indian audiences in a magical spell for close to one-and-a-half-decades before marrying producer Boney Kapoor and settling in matrimonial life. Nearing 50 and still looking dazzling enough, she has now opined that given a choice, she would love to pair up opposite Ajith Kumar.

Sridevi made a successful comeback to Hindi films with last year’s English Vinglish. The Tamil-Hindi version was a huge success wherein Ajith played a small role in the Tamil version and bonded well with Sridevi. The actress shot for a popular game show for Vijay TV with Prakashraj. At the end of the show, she wished her fans and viewers a happy Tamil New year.
Speaking to newsmen, Sridevi conceded that she is not able to speak in Tamil as fluently as she did more than a couple of decades ago due to her constant stay in Mumbai. “Of course, I speak in Tamil better as I have been watching Tamil channels constantly. I love Vivek and Vadevelu’s comedy sequences. If given a choice, I’d surely love to pair up opposite Ajith Kumar. He is a nice gentleman,” said Sridevi.
Ajith reportedly didn’t take a single penny for his role in English Vinglish as he was a great fan of Sridevi and had said he felt honoured to have been cast in the role
